Creating an online community in Bristol’s creative quarter


Paintworks is a live, work and play destination in the heart of Bristol’s creative quarter.  We were tasked with developing and managing a social media strategy that would raise awareness of the development, connect like-minded individuals, engage potential buyers, and inspire the existing community. 


By actively monitoring stakeholder conversations across the social media landscape, we were able to gain a unique insight into what would inspire and motivate our target audience to take action. This informed our social strategy, which considered social purpose, engagement tactics, content pillars and customer care policy.


In 2017 we picked up the award for the Best Marketing Campaign: Residential New Build, and the Best Digital Marketing Campaign, for our client Crest Nicholson for building an engaged community in and around Paintworks. We went on to scoop 'Best Use of Digital in the Property Sector' at the Digital Impact Awards and won the 'Best Regional Strategy’ category in The Drum's Social Buzz Awards! Our strategy also achieved some outstanding results for our client. The site finished 17 months ahead of budget, the development achieved nearly 3x more conversions than other developments in the client’s portfolio and saw an increase in 30% sales revenue over a two-year period, exceeding the area’s average increase of 17%.
