The Brief

Over the years we have been asked to produce a series of innovative and unique web projects for Wates Group. These include their main website, a community portal and their very own internal social network.

The Challenge

Wates have a great reputation which has been built over the years. The Wates Group is underpinned by the family values that the Wates family brings to the business. So, we have always made sure that those values were the biggest influence in our design.

The website has recently been refreshed, in preparation for a brand new website arriving next year. Wates have just launched their new brand and it was important to make this work short term short-term on their existing site until the new fully responsive site went live.

Another project we loved working on was ‘Generation Wates’. An internal social network featuring; Instagram feeds, photo uploads, message board (their own personal Twitter), family events and comments. This tool enables the whole family to stay in touch and share important news or activity privately to one another on a day-to-day basis.

The whole experience is mobile friendly, so each generation can enjoy the experience on their preferred device.

Another recent project is the Wates Community Portal. A great website platform designed to be live for pinnacle Wates owned developments. The website is build purposely to offer residents a series of digital communication methods, including; Twitter feeds, image gallery, information, events and more. Wates wanted to provide a an innovative tool and use modern technology to build a closer community.

The Results

The website receives over 17,000 unique visitors per month. The site’s search engine visibility is high, reflecting the SEO-friendly design with the site ranking in page one search engine results for 80% of keywords identified by the client.
