Our client, the Aston Martin racing team TF Sport, competed in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans and we headed to the track to cheer them on!
Le Mans has been referred to as one of the toughest endurance races in the world. The event sees 250,000 spectators gather to watch 180 drivers race around the clock.
This year’s event, which took place on 17th June 2017, was the very first Le Mans race for TF Sport. During the lead up to the event, the team secured a double Road to Le Mans double victory. On race day, regulars Euan Hankey and Salih Yoluc were joined by Rob Bell, a veteran at Circuit de la Sarthe. The team got behind the wheel of the #90 Aston Martin and completed the 24-hour race, finishing in the top 10 in their class.
Tom Ferrier, Director of TF Sport, says: “The Aston Martin Vantage proved to be bullet-proof as ever and the team did a great job in the stops and to make repairs. We did our very best and took away two wins and put in a strong performance in what is the biggest race of the year. We can be very proud of our race and all of the hard work that went into the programme. Now we regroup and get ready for the next round of the European Le Mans Series next month in Austria where we know we’ll be fighting for wins again.”
