Kolab scoops another digital communications award for the second year running


Following on from the success of 2011, Ferrier Pearce have claimed another accolade at the 2012 Digital Impact Awards. The award for the ‘best use of digital in the public sector’ was subject to stiff competition, with entries up by over 50% in comparison to the previous year. Following the shortlisting, Ferrier Pearce received the bronze award for the work with East Cambridgeshire District Council. The award ceremony was held last week at the Brewery in London and was hosted by BBC science correspondent, Steve Mould.

The Digital Impact Awards were established by Communicate magazine, the UK’s leading magazine for corporate communications and stakeholder relations. The entries were all judged by a panel of experienced in-house practitioners, digital communication directors, and online marketing managers in order to celebrate and benchmark best practice in digital stakeholder relations.

East Cambridgeshire District Council commissioned Ferrier Pearce to design the online branding and build for its service of matching businesses, looking to relocate, to commercial property in Cambridgeshire. The Ferrier Pearce team devised the concept of 360°, as it symbolised the landscape of the East Cambridgeshire fens with their panoramic views, as well as being in line with the business proposition being offered. The award recognises the success of this project and what it will bring to the area.

A spokesperson from East Cambridgeshire District Council said, “The new branding, website reskin and PDF brochures have provided the business development team with a platform to go and promote the district in a positive, professional manner. We have adopted the ideas behind the branding into our internal working practices to mirror the 360 degree thinking, ensuring our customers are central in all that we do, adding value to every enquiry we receive.

The marketing materials have helped to showcase the district, the benefits of our location and have generated extensive new leads for the team to help meet our long-term vision for the area as a thriving sustainable business region.’’

Ferrier Pearce has a history in employee communications through design, however the digital age has translated into the company successfully and the increasing number of awards the company are receiving reflect the skill and success that Ferrier Pearce are delivering on, in this sphere.
